Howdy! Hello there how are you? Just fine. How about you? Not bad. Long week - open house last night and kind of pooped, but fine overall.

I dont’ know if you saw my posts and email, but I made an extension presentation, I guess you can call it, with haikudeck. I’m having trouble getting it into the smore.Yes I checked it out and I looks great. I think I added it to the Smore - it’s hard to check everything until you publish it. I also took the Works Consulted list and put it into a Powerpoint, then saved it as a jpeg and uploaded it to the Smore. That way you can still have the hanging indent we need. I couldn’t get it to work with the text option on Smore. Check it out and see if it looks ok. Then we can delete one or the other. Yes, that looks great. The original WC can go. how did you get the haikudeck to embed? I just used the “embed” option at the bottom using the second weblink you sent. I did that and it didn’t do anything… Sorry I’m also ironing my pants. Of course, I don’t want you to be wrinkled for me. ;)):) It could be anything - sometimes I can get things to work with one browser but not another - there is no telling. And what did you select it to be as an addition? Just ‘embed link’? Yes that was it, and then I added a title above it. Oh and I didn’t use the embedded link address that you sent, but the web address. I couldn’t get an embedded link to work with the animoto video but the weblink worked. I guess so? I think Is that the regular link? Well, the smore is shaping up very nicely...it looks great! I like the three photos, too. I’m still working on my sample research project...it will be a padlet. If I have problems uploading, I’ll let you know. That sounds good. We have singlehandedly used almost every Web 2.0 tool in the book! That ought to count for something. I think the Smore is looking good too. Hey - I know what I was going to tell you - you might want to add in a citation for the photos in your haikudeck. Even if they are original, I think you have to say “All photos original” or something. When I downloaded it, on the photo it says it is haikudeck, Who the photo is by, and the flickr license. i wonder if it can be seen during the slide show? You mean the citation was on the photo? Yes, on both the PPT and the PDF, it’s directly on the photo. OK I just used the link we put on the Smore and I don’t see any identifying info on the photos. Okay, i just viewed it directly on full screen and it’s not there. Where should I add it? If I add it to the haikudeck, we’ll have to get rid of the old and put in the new. I would suggest adding one more slide at the end of the presentation with the citations for the photos. I think the link should stay the same? We can check. Were those photos Creative Commons? They were simply there as background choices for the HD. On the PPT, it does say creative commons, but not on the PDF. I’ll add the additional slide and see how it works. Right when you asked me, I was going to ask you if you put the photo credits on your three. The print is too tiny for me to read. Yes I did. I wish you could expand things while you are still editing the Smore. I will send you a copy so you can check them out. I don’t know what I’m saying :) I’ll email them to you. Just sent them. Got it. Very good! You know, what I didn’t do was cite where the information came from on the slide. It just seemed like too much text and we had them listed in our WOrks Consulted. Do you think that’s ok or no? On the second one, you do say AASL. Maybe a parenthetical in smaller font? Yes I think you are probably right. Well, do you want to meet back here tomorrow night? I think we are in good standing for right now. I will complete and upload my sample research project and add the photo credits to the HD. That sounds fine. I am going to be out of pocket for the early part of the evening. Maybe 9 we can just touch base and finalize things? okay, nine o’clock. I’ll fill out the rubric, as well. That’s fine. It would be nice if we were ready to submit tomorrow? Maybe? If not, that is ok but I am having to drive to Conroe Friday after work.

As per AS: One partner will submit the URL to the prewriting K-W-L-Q. That can be you and since we are complete with that, you can do it tomorrow after we meet?

The other partner will submit the rubric with the top portion completed, including the link to the persuasive presentation. That will be me and I will either do it Thursday PM or Friday AM. That sounds good. So this conversation will go on the “third” page of our Wiki and that should cover all three for us, right? On the ‘final’ page? Okay, I will put it there, with the link above the conversation. Also, she wants us to link to the KWLQ page? Should I add links on that page to the other two pages? (I remember she said something about that) The final page has links for storyboard and prewrite. I guess we can link all the way around. If you are sending her to the prewrite, that makes sense. OK that sounds good. I am going to try to fix those images tonight and then hopefully we will be good to go tomorrow! Okay, good night then. Good night - talk to you tomorrow. Bye.

Howdy!

Here is the padlet ISP sample project: __http://padlet.com/wall/yvx94nh42a__

Already posted on the smore. Good evening! Ok I’m gonna check it out. Am I on the right track with it? Yeah I think it looks great! I think we are in good shape. I like your “introduction” to the lesson at the beginning of the Padlet. I can’t remember if I did that or not, but I like it. Well, that’s good. So, what else do we need to do with the smore? Maybe nothing… Well, if it’s ready to go we can publish it and then it should be ready for viewing Okay, let’s do that and make sure it looks right as published.

Excellent idea. I will publish it as I have it open right now and then add the link to this doc. One sec…

__https://www.smore.com/18w1__

I’m going to try out the links now. Check it out :)

Everything seems to work. I think it looks pretty good! The Works Consulted doesn’t blow up like the other images, but I think it is legible. What do you think?

Still looking at it. The haiku deck navigates to a new page. Did it do that for you?

Yes, so does the prezi and the padlet. I think that is ok. Yes, they all navigate away. The only thing I think that needs tweaking, and you’re going to hate me, on the easel.ly the yellow text is hard to read. I think the color should be changed. which one? I didn’t think any of them had yellow text.OH the infographic. Yes that should be pretty easy to change I think. Let me see. Ok should be fixed now. yes, that is easier to read. Good work. We’re ready then? I’m looking at the rubric and I think we covered everything. So I think we are ready. Okay, I will paste this discussion into the wiki; put the smore link on the wiki PP final page; complete the rubric with the smore link; and upload the rubric to Blackboard. Are there any other steps I missed? I think that should be it. So i submit the link to the KWLQ page of the Wiki. Do I just put cut and paste it into the submission box? I’m actually looking right now. She’s not that specific on the AS, but that is what I would do filling out the subject line completely. Yes, you are given the choice of uploading a document (the rubric) or writing a text submission. I chose text, and pasted it into the box, making it a hyperlink that opens in a new window. About to submit.

Okay, pah-dner, I think we done good. Ok sounds good. Thanks for the hard work and I hope you have a great spring , abreak. You have a great spring break too. I know you did more work than I did and thank you for it. I will email you when I finish these last tasks. It was no problem - we both worked on it and both our parts look good. Smashing! ‘Till we meet again? Yes the closing song of the donnie and marie show! (“may tomorrow be a perfect day…” ) I dont’ remember it exactly...Shalom! I need to youtube it. Yes it’s a good one. OK take care and I will see you on the boards! ok, bye! Bye
